The United Nations is seeking a qualified Investment Officer to join the Office of Investment Management (OIM) team in New York, United States. The role focuses on the management of real asset investments for the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (UNJSPF), a global investment portfolio with assets exceeding $80 billion. The successful candidate will be directly reporting to the Senior Investment Officer of Real Assets and become a vital part of the team overseeing a range of real asset classes including real estate, infrastructure, timber, and agriculture.
Key Responsibilities
The Investment Officer will have a broad array of tasks, which involve assisting in managing the real assets investments of the Fund and ensuring a balance between long-term strategic goals with immediate performance objectives. The role includes conducting extensive investment research, performing risk analysis, contributing to investment recommendations, and integrating responsible investment principles into the analysis process. Additionally, the candidate will prepare and contribute to investment reports for various governing bodies within the UNJSPF.
Required Competencies and Qualifications
Candidates should exemplify professionalism with strong knowledge in financial modeling and analysis, demonstrate teamwork capabilities, and display accountability. An advanced university degree related to finance is required, with at least five years of relevant experience.
